Ok…it’s no secret Sweet Pea Waxing Boutique specializes in Brazilian waxing. The area waxed during a Brazilian wax is the vulva. There is a long standing tradition throughout history to use flowers as a symbol of the female genitalia. Are you connecting the dots yet?
The flower represents the reproductive part of a plant , that which has been the sole reason for it’s existence generation after generation. Thus this representation is genuinely justified. The flower symbolism also does justice because the vagina has 5 muscles surrounding it that open and close like a petal. Furthermore, puberty, menstruation, sexual experience, fertility, pregnancy, motherhood and menopause can all be defined with floral terminologies, from enclosed buds and ripe blossoms to mature plants and wilted flowers Flowers also have aesthetic similarities to that of the female genitalia.
When choosing a name for my business I knew I wanted to use a flower as a symbol to celebrate “the vulva”. While researching flowers I was immediately drawn to the Sweet Pea flower due to it’s adorable name as well as its visual similarities to uh…well…the vulva.
