5 Easy Skincare Tips You Can Do At Home
-
Always Remove Your Makeup At Night!
This one is a must! When you don’t remove your makeup at night, you are allowing any bacteria that may have gotten onto your face during the the day to linger. Additionally, you makeup itself can clog pores or dry out your skin when left on all night. Not to mention waking up with raccoon eyes!
-
Moisturize
Don’t skip the moisturizer. No matter your age or skin type, you need to add a moisturizer in your daily routine. Ask an esthetician (like Hannah!) what kind of moisturizer might be best for your skin type.
-
Exfoliate
Make sure you are exfoliating. The frequency in which you exfoliate ultimately depends on your skin type, but this important step should not be skipped! Exfoliation helps slough away any dead skin cells or residue that may be built up on your skin. Exfoliated skin absorbs product better, so any serums or moisturizers you are using will work better!
-
Diet and Water
You are what you eat and your skin will reflect that. Avoid a diet high in sugar and fried or processed foods. Water intake is also hugely important! Staying hydrated is good for your overall well-being and that certainly includes your skin. When you are dehydrated, you skin becomes dull and dry, so drink up!
-
Exercise
That’s right. In addition to your diet and water intake, we are going to preach on exercise too. When you exercise regularly, you increase blood flow and oxygen to your cells. Happy cells = happy skin care. Regular exercise can also lower stress levels, which some studies suggest may improve skin conditions like acne and eczema. Find an exercise routine that works for you and always remember to wash your face following your workout.
